Save tomato paste in 1 tablespoon portions for recipes.

Open the can of tomato paste, then freeze it for several hours. Once it's frozen solid, remove the bottom of the can and push the sauce out onto a plate. Slice it into 1/4" rounds, which equals about 1 tablespoon of paste. The frozen rings can go into a storage bag for later use in recipes.
